Return to Indoor Prayers

Dear Friends,

Given the onset of colder weather and low rate of infection in our community, our Medical Advisory Committee has advised that we may conduct Minyanim indoors under the following strict guidelines.

Who may attend Minyanim?

Only members of the shul who are completely free of any COVID-19 symptoms as described by the CDC, such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell.

If you or your family members have tested positive for COVID-19 you should not register for a minyan until at least 11 days of the positive test or within 72 hours of having a fever or respiratory symptoms, whichever is longer. (Please note, anyone who has previously tested positive must also be cleared by a doctor for participation in a minyan).

How will Minyanim be conducted?

  1. Locations for each attendee at the Minyan will be clearly delineated and distanced by at least 6 feet.
  2. Each attendee, including the Chazzan, must wear a mask at all times that covers the mouth and nose.
  3. Attendees will bring their own Siddurim and Chumashim.
  4. Only the Baal Koreh will handle the Sefer Torah and do Hagbah.
  5. Aliyot will be performed with the Oleh standing at least 6 feet from the Torah.
  6. Children who are mature enough to sit and daven may attend
  7. There must be no congregating before, after, or during davening.

Contact tracing on weekdays:

Swipe your keycard each time you enter the building even if you are following someone else in ("tailgating").  If you don’t have a keycard, or you are a visitor, please fill in the sign-in sheet located at the entrance to the minyan you are attending.

Contact tracing on Friday Night/Shabbat:

Pre-register for each Shabbat by Friday 10 am. Please note that a new registration will be required each week.

These protocols are designed to maintain the utmost safety for Tefilah B’tzibur.

They will only work if we all abide by them carefully. The protocols will be subject to change as the situation progresses and as we learn more information. They will be evaluated on a weekly basis to ensure their effectiveness.

We thank you for your continued cooperation.
