Membership Privileges

Visitors are always welcome at Congregation Ahavath Torah. If you join us on a regular basis, we encourage you to become a member. Your support enables the synagogue to provide the community with a full range of services 365 days per year. In addition, here is a partial list of the many benefits that are available only to members:

  • Right to reserve a date at the synagogue for a future simcha
  • Use of any of our prayer facilities and social halls for your simcha
  • Free High Holiday seats
  • Right to sponsor kiddush or seudat shelishit
  • Opportunity to receive aliyot and other kibbudim
  • Participation in youth programming and synagogue missions
  • Opportunity to lead services as a shaliach tzibbur, including upon commemoration of a yahrzeit
  • Bereavement and shiva notifications in the event you sustain a loss

Condolences
Bereavement - father of Ilana Goldberg

We regret to inform you that our member, Ilana Goldberg, has suffered a loss in the passing of her father, Dr. Fred Hoschander.
Shiva will take place at 147-15 68th Drive, Kew Gardens, NY 11367, through Wednesday morning, May 23.
   Morning services: Friday at 9AM; Sunday-Wednesday at 8AM
   Mincha/Maariv at 7:55PM

Ilana will be observing Shiva at 333 East Linden Avenue, Englewood, on Motzei Shabbat only.  The remainder of the Shiva she will be in Queens.

May the family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem
