Dinner Honorees 2025
Rabbi Daniel & Dina Goldberg
Rabbi Daniel and Dina Goldberg have served the Ahavath Torah community with dedication and love over the past eight years, as Assistant and then Associate Rabbi and Rebbetzin. They have been deeply involved in the spiritual and communal growth of the shul, making a lasting impact on countless families.
In addition to her role in the shul, Dina is a passionate advocate in the broader Jewish world. She serves as the Chief Development Officer at Sharsheret, supporting women and families facing breast and ovarian cancer.
Rabbi Goldberg and Dina feel privileged to share this moment of celebration with their four beloved children—Moshe, Shaya, Esther, and Sarit—who have grown up as true “Rabbi’s children,” each playing a special role in the family’s journey and contributions to the community.
Mor & Alphonse Soued
Since moving from the Upper West Side to Englewood 11 years ago, Mor and Alphonse Soued have been active and devoted members of Ahavath Torah’s Benaroya Sephardic Center. Both have served on the BSC Board Committee, among other committees within the shul.
Mor has played an essential role in organizing events for SCAT (Sisterhood of Congregation Ahavath Torah) and is passionate about community involvement. Together, Mor and Alphonse have graciously opened their home to host the Sephardic Minyan—from outdoor services during COVID to memorable Lag Ba’Omer gatherings in their backyard.
Their three children—Benjamin, Solomon, and Ruthie, who attend Moriah and SAR High School—have grown up witnessing their parents' deep commitment to the community and Am Yisrael. Mor and Alphonse hope their children will continue to follow in their footsteps of service and engagement.
Stuart Weinstock
Stuart Weinstock grew up in Bayside, Queens, and attended YCQ, followed by MTA and then Queens College, where he earned a degree in Accounting and became a CPA. He has lived in Englewood for the past 23 years with his wife of 31 years, Debra. Together, they raised their three children — Isaac, Mia, and Eliana.
Stuart has been a dedicated Gabbai in the Strauss Main Sanctuary for nearly 13 years. He also serves on the Board of Trustees and is an active member of both the RSC and Chazan committees. His leadership and dedication to the community continue to make a meaningful impact on the shul and its members.
Emma Kanner
Emma grew up in Englewood and has been a cherished member of the Ahavath Torah Youth Department for the past 10 years. She brings warmth, creativity, and dedication to her work with children both in shul and at Moriah, where she has worked for the past four years.
While pursuing a degree in Developmental Psychology, Emma continues to make a lasting impact as "Morah Emma," engaging with children in a way that fosters joy, learning, and connection. Her long-standing commitment and love for the community’s youth are a true asset to the shul.
Please join us in wishing these individuals a warm Mazal Tov and Mabrook on their well-deserved honors. We look forward to celebrating these remarkable people and their dedication to the Englewood community and Klal Yisrael.
