Michelle & Mitchell Weitzner -Guests of Honor

Michelle & Mitchell Weitzner have lived in Englewood for the past 25 years. They have six children.  Mitchell is a trader for 30+ years and Michelle is a local Real Estate Broker.  Both Michelle & Mitchell have taken active roles in Congregation Ahavath Torah.  Mitchell has served as RSC Chairman, Main Minyan Gabbai, Board Member and Daf Yomi Coordinator/Lecturer.  Michelle has been involved with Sisterhood, Bikur Cholim and the Tehilim group.

Young Leadership Award - Dr. Stu & Ahuva Warburg Halpern

Ahuva & Dr. Stu Halpern moved to Englewood five years ago and Ahuva grew up in the community. Stu serves as co-chair of the Adult Education Committee and teaches classes in the shul in Bible and Jewish history. He also is a member of the Board of Trustees and served on the Rabbinic Transition Committee. Stu is the Senior Advisor to the Provost at Yeshiva University. Ahuva co-chairs the Welcome Committee and is a member of the Sisterhood Board and the Religious Services Committee. She is a lawyer in the area of employee benefits and executive compensation. Stu and Ahuva are the proud parents of Erez, Ayal and Mayim.

Harbatzat Torah Award - Rabbi Mark & Joy Berman

Joy & Rabbi Mark Berman have lived in Englewood for the past 27 years. They have two children, Benji & Rachel and two grandchildren, Benji & Miriam’s children,  Avi & Shalom Tzvi.  Joy has been a past president of Emunah and  Mark serves as a magid shiur for Daf Yomi and other shiurim.  They facilitate a weekly Friday night Learning  Chaburah.  Mark has served on the shul board, as house committee chair, as well as on the Adult Education committee. Additionally, Mark serves as Gabbai and Baal Tokea in the ballroom Minyan for the past 10 years.

*Patron ($550) is the minimum contribution for two (2) dinner tickets (ages 32+)

**Supporter ($275) is the minimum contribution for one (1) dinner ticket (ages 32+) 

***Contributor ($180) is the minimum contribution for two (2) "Young Couple" tickets (below 32).  

If you qualify for a young couple ticket, you may pledge online but please call the office to reserve your seats.

 

Contributions are deductible for income tax purposes only to the extent that the amount paid exceeds the fair market value of the benefits received by the donor. The fair market value of the dinner is $95 per person.
